Who are the players? Part 2 The construction community.

So we talked about who the players were on the design side. Now let’s talk about the build side.

General Contractor: hired by the owner to manage all areas and phases of construction.

Electrical Contractor: hired by the general contractor to provide all power and wiring and lighting.

Electrical Distributor: sells lighting products to the electrical contractor. Acts as a bank for the electrical contractor. May also provide kitting and packaging services and staging.

Lighting Sales Rep: works with both the electrical contractor and the electrical distributor to ensure that what was specified is what gets purchased and installed
